Reports reaching pouring confirms that the sequel to the record-breaking movie of 2020, Omo Ghetto, will be the movie streaming platform for viewers’ pleasure in September.
The Omo Ghetto sequel follows a story of a young girl, Shalewa, also known as Lefty. This role was played by Funke Akindele, the writer and producer of the movie.
Shalewa was a girl with a ghetto lifestyle before being adopted by her adopted wealthy parents. She struggles to find a balance between these two lives.
In 2020, the movie broke Africa’s streaming record and Marvel’ Avengers record by becoming the highest-grossing movie in the box office during its cinema phase. As at the time, it had got an accumulated gross revenue of #500m.
The record-breaking sequel features movie stars like Eniola Badmus, Chioma Chukwika, Deyemi Okanlawon, Zubby Michael, Timini Egbuson, Alex Ekubo, Mercy Aigbe, Tina Mba, JJC Skillz and Funke Akindele.
The comedy movie would be premiered on Netflix by September 21, 2021.
