Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has returned to Nigeria.
After months of medical treatment, the former Lagos governor arrived in the state on Friday evening.
According to his media office, Tinubu was in London, United Kingdom, for surgery on his right knee and “rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy.”
According to a statement released, the politician has undergone no other surgical procedures and has no plans to do so in the future, despite rumors to the contrary.
Tinubu’s recovery “has been without complication and ahead of schedule by the attending surgeon,” according to the report.
Tinubu has fully recovered from his knee surgery, according to the update, and is committed to doing his part to advance the cause of good governance.
The APC stalwart personally thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his visit and well wishes.
He also praised Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, governors, party leaders, the Northern Reps Caucus, and the Lagos House of Assembly members, among others.
Tinubu thanked his friends, associates, supporters, and well-wishers for praying and supplicating Allah with him.
The statement went on to say, “Asiwaju Tinubu thanks you all.”
