In Abuja, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) confirmed the arrest of 15 suspected internet scammers.
The suspects were apprehended at Brick City and Kagini in the Kubwa axis of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, according to a statement signed by EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren.
They were apprehended when credible information about their alleged involvement in a cyber-related scheme surfaced.
Benjamin Obiakor, Emmanuel Simon, Ibrahim Oyelade, Taiwo Samuel, Oko Emmanuel Chinedu, Uchechukwu Edozie, and Obi Emeka Reginald were named as suspects.
Jerry Gabriel, Athnetus Ezeh, Michael Aaron, Ebube Gabriel, Ikechukwu Collins, Izoduwa Osemwegie, Augustine Kelvin, Morrison Marvin, Stanley Okereke, Victor Ajah, Ibrahim Ojonugwa, Chijioke Nnaka, Chikezie Wisdom, Chijioke Ifendu, Augustine Kelvin, Morrison Marvin, Stanley Okereke, Victor Ajah, Ibrahim O
Two automobiles, five laptops, and 13 cellphones were among the things recovered from the suspects, according to Uwujaren. He also stated that they would be charged in court soon.
