President Muhammadu Buhari reappointed Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar/Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), for a second five-year term on Friday.
Prof. Abubakar Rasheed was re-elected for a fifth term as Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC). In contrast, Hamid Bobboyi was re-elected for a second four-year term as Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
In a statement released on Friday, Ben Bem Goong, Director, Federal Ministry of Education, Press and Public Affairs stated that the appointments were made on the advice of Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu.
Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe was reappointed for a second four-year term as Registrar/CEO of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB). In contrast, Prof. Promise Mebane was reappointed for a five-year term as Director/Chief Executive of the National Mathematical Centre.
Oloyede and Rasheed’s appointments took effect from August 1, 2021, while Mebine’s appointments took effect from August 17 as well, and Bobboyi’s will begin on August 21, 2021, according to the statement.
