The attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna State by bandits has been condemned by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The terrorists entered into the NDA premises in the early hours of Monday, killing two army officers and kidnapping two Majors, according to reports.
In a statement sent by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari promised that the attack would not damper soldier morale.
”Rather than dampening the morale of our Armed Forces, as it is intended, the attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) complex on Tuesday would strengthen their resolve to put a stop to criminality in the country,” he stated.
According to Buhari, the terrible act will hasten the total removal of evil in the country, which personnel of the Armed Forces are steadfastly determined to achieve in the shortest time feasible.
Buhari expressed his condolences to the families who had lost loved ones and prayed for their comfort. He also promised that the deceased would not die in vain, as the heinous act would have consequences that would eventually rid the country of vermin and emancipate the polity from deliberate, targeted, and contrived atrocities.
As a result, he commended all Nigerians who value and appreciate the military’s efforts and asked those who are using the despicable act to stop.
“Rather than recriminations, this is the time for all patriots and goodness to assist and encourage those who are in the forefront of the war against wickedness in the land,” he says.
