Three deaths recorded along Lagos – Ibadan expressway – FRSC

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State announced on Saturday that three people were killed in a single collision near Four Square Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Mr Ahmed Umar, the FRSC’s Ogun Sector Commander, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun, that the accident occurred at 6.50 a.m.

Umar stated that the crash included three individuals in a Mitsubishi Canter with the license plate LAR 116XN.

He blamed the disaster on excessive speeding, which caused the vehicle to lose control and skid into the bush, killing all of the occupants.

“The victims’ bodies have been transferred at the FOS morgue in Ipara,” he stated.

The incident, according to the sector commander, was avoidable, and he advised motorists to avoid excessive speed and unsafe driving, as well as to observe traffic rules and regulations.

Umar expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and prayed to God to provide them the strength to bear their loss.

He also urged them to call the FRSC Command in Ogunmakin KM27 for details on the crash and to reclaim the properties of the victims found at the spot.
