Unknown gunmen kill vigilante members in Rivers state

unknown gunmen

Armed hoodlums terrorizing portions of the local government killed a member of a local vigilante in Ibaa community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Thursday.

Omaobi Oguzo, the victim, was the father of Prince Oguzo, a twenty-four-year-old man who was assassinated by the same shooters on Wednesday morning.

When the shooters arrived at his house on Wednesday, they did not find his son.

Chief Emeka Wori, the General Commander of the local vigilante organization in Emohua Local Government Area, who verified the occurrence, accused Ibaa residents for the “ugly condition” in the town.

Ibaa people, according to Chief Wori, “have refused to reveal the whereabouts of the culprits who carry out these crimes.”

He did say, though, that his staff “would do all possible to ensure that similar situations do not occur again” in the community.

At the time of reporting this article, the Rivers State police command had yet to react to the homicide.
