NARD set to suspend strike ON 6th of October.

Dr Godiya Ishaya, President of The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has revealed that they are ready to end their industrial strike.

In a bid to point out their demands, members of NARS embarked on the strike which lasted for 63 days starting from the 2nd of August 2021 and will be suspended on Wednesday, the 6th of October, 2021.

Godiya said they came to this decision after a long hours of deliberation with its National Executive Council, NEC and the government; who have agreed to meet their demands and are currently making progress in in addressing the items on the notice of our demands.

He further concluded that arrangement are being made for resident doctors to return to work and render services to the people while the government continues to work on their demands and ensure that there is no break in healthcare services to the people.
