Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has pledged to boost the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2023. (APC).
On Tuesday, Abubakar paid a courtesy visit to Governor Godwin Obaseki of the PDP at the Government House in Benin, Edo State.
According to a statement from Government House, the former vice president’s conversation with Obaseki focused on administration, current difficulties in the country, and ways to improve the PDP.
“I cannot thank you enough for the leadership that you continue to provide; the advice you gave me during my electioneering, the private discussions, and the help you provided to me when we joined the party, I cannot thank you enough,” he said.
“We faced hurdles, but you rose to the occasion and put your weight behind resolving the issues.
