Plateau State governor is not doing enough – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Plateau State’s primary opposition party, has stated that governor Simon Bako Lalong does not require security agency supervision to reduce homicides in the state.

In a statement attributed to the state Acting Chairman of the APC, Enoch Fanmak, the party’s spokesman, Emmanuel Go’or, said that Governor Lalong had done enough to end killings in the state except for the security agencies’ lack of direct control.

“If the weekly harvest of dead bodies and invaded towns are the marks of Governor Lalong’s best, then he was never ready for governance,” he declared at a press conference in Jos on Tuesday.

Mr Governor is just charmed by the glamour of his office and unhealthily distracted by responsibilities outside the state in the name of chairmanship of the Northern Governors’ Forum, and he is leaning on a tottering fence even now.”

The governor only needed to be decisive enough to face the blood-sucking monsters that have been preying on Plateau people for their meals, according to the opposition party.
