Wizkid is Africa’s biggest music export – Shizem

Oluwafemi Adeniyi, better known by his stage name Shizem, a Nigerian-American singer, has praised Nigerian music artist Wizkid as Africa’s heritage and biggest music export.

He was referring to Wizkid’s successful remix of the song “Essence,” in which he collaborated with American A-list Grammy-award winner Justin Bieber and Tems.

Justin Bieber turned to Instagram to express his gratitude to WizKid for allowing him to participate in the remix, adding in the caption, “Thank u for letting me jump on the summer’s song.” The Essence remix is now available.”

“His craft has no doubt paved the way for him on the global stage and I have never been more proud to be of the same tribe, and from the same country.

“He creates space and also gives inspiration for young African talents like us”

Shizem also revealed that one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeat stars will appear on his upcoming single, though he would rather not reveal his name until the song is released.

He went on to say that he hopes the new song has as big of an impact as possible when it is published, and that he can’t wait for the people to hear it.
