Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has slammed Antonio Conte’s claim that he has yet to figure out how to use Romelu Lukaku properly.
Lukaku scored three goals in his first three games back at Stamford Bridge, but has since gone cold.
In that time, the Blues have also lost to Manchester City and Juventus.
Ex-Chelsea coach Conte, who led Lukaku to a Serie A title with Inter last season, suggested Tuchel has not yet figured out the best approach for the player, but Tuchel has responded.
“He [Conte] was obviously not on the television following the Tottenham game.
“Of course, if you watch this game against Juventus in isolation, he is correct on that point, and he is obviously in the TV studio to analyze this one game – so he is correct, no debate.
“However, it is not a general phenomenon. If you look at the other games, he might not be correct. I am not offended. Tuchel told the club’s official website, “I even saw [him] on TV while I was showering in the hotel before the game.”
