Lionel Messi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, has made a conditional return to Barcelona.
Messi, who left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, has stated that he would love to return to the LaLiga giant if he could contribute and help the Catalan club.
After his contract was allowed to expire, the Argentine captain left Camp Nou as a free agent during the summer transfer window this year.
Messi insisted that Barcelona was his home in an interview ahead of PSG’s Champions League match against Manchester City on Wednesday.
“I’ve always said that I’d return to Barcelona at some point because it was my home and where I lived,” Messi told El Larguero via Mundo Deportivo.
“I would always like to assist the club in any way I can, and obviously, if I can contribute and assist the club, I would love to return.”
