Mourinho reveals plan to coach Newcastle

Jose Mourinho, manager of Roma, has stated that he has no plans to return to England to coach Newcastle United.

Following the Saudi-backed acquisition last week, the Magpies have been connected with numerous top managers.

Mourinho is one of the frontrunners to succeed Steve Bruce at St James’ Park.

Mourinho, who only joined the Serie A club this summer, has made it plain that he is focused on them.

When asked if he was interested in joining Newcastle, Mourinho said, “I have nothing to say about Newcastle.”

“I worked with Mr. [Bobby] Robson [at Barcelona], one of the best players in the club’s history, and I’ve always had a relationship with those people and that place that I now know well.”

“But nothing else.” “I am completely committed to the Roma-Friedkin initiative.”
